These are predators in my opinion who don’t give you enough information to make a decision on whether to date them or not.
Or worst, they make you think that they want what you want and lead you on for so long it becomes more and more difficult to walk away.
This is the most insidious and creepy one that women can pull online in my opinion.
She responds to your message right away and you have great conversations back and forth where you think that meeting her out is imminent until she puts the brakes on with one of the following statements in response to your request to meet her for coffee or a drink: I'm assuming you didn't come off creepy yourself by saying something sexual or suggesting an out of the way bar and had about 3-4 normal messages back and forth with her.
Almost every online dating site out there has some form of a low-stakes “hey, so and so wants you to talk to them” notification – often given a cutsey name like “wink” or “flirt” or “send a flower” to make it seem more acceptable. Most dating sites let you set up a profile for free but require that you pay money in order to be able to message people.
